Andrew Dalton Author Visit
On Thursday April 29th, Andrew Dalton - a master at Shrewsbury School - came to Ludgrove for the day to discuss being a writer and to talk about his trilogy of Malplaquet books.
Reading exceprts from the opening chapter of his first book, The Temples of Malplaquet, Mr Dalton explained how the setting of his stories had been inspired by the grounds of Stowe School, where he used to work.
Having offered a taster of the intriguing stories during his talk, the queue to buy a signed copy of one of the books was a long one.
The boys left their talks having gleaned a few tips that ought to prove useful in the upcoming essay competition - which Mr Dalton has kindly agreed to judge.
