Radley Prep Schools Workshop 2011

On Monday 10th October the boys took part in a Wind & Brass Workshop day hosted by Radley College. As well as Ludgrove, Abingdon Prep, Ashfold, Moulsford and Caldicott took part with a total of 49 girls and boys.
On arrival we were met by Simon Carr (Head of Wind & Brass) who had organized the day. This consisted of two separate instrumental group sessions then after a sumptuous lunch we all gathered in the Silk Hall for a rehearsal where we worked through one Concert Band piece. Then at 2.45pm there was a Concert run through, where the boys performed their ensemble pieces to each other. At 3.30-4.30pm Tea was provided in the New Foyer and boys could meet their parents and chat and relax.
The day culminated in a Concert which had a varied and challenging programme. It was most enjoyable for the boys and the parents, and an extremely big thank you to Simon Carr for an exciting and rewarding musical event.
