Following the remembrance service on Sunday, it was unsurprising that the poetry recitations was an equally moving event, with many pupils choosing to perform poems in honour of those who died in both world wars.
Very well done to all of our finalists for comprising such a truly talented line-up and providing us with a highly engaging morning's poetry. Thank you to the English department for their time in helping the boys to practise and improve their recitations and for their assistance in judging the rounds of semi-finals prior to the final competition.
Many thanks also to our judge, Mr Matthew Edwards, Head of English at Eagle House school, for his warm and encouraging manner with our boys and for his positive and constructive feedback.
