Flexibility in hours and days is essential as the seamstress hours will vary throughout the term to accommodate school plays.  Ideally the hours for this role will be 3 days per week, Monday, Wednesday and Friday 9.30am – 12.30pm term time only, but the school will consider other variations for the right candidate.   Additional hours (including some weekends and evenings) will be essential to support the success of the school performances normally towards the end of the terms.

The successful Bagpipe teacher will provide high‑quality instruction to students of varying ages (year 4 - 8) and ability levels. The ideal candidate will be passionate about traditional Scottish music, experienced in performance and tutoring, and able to inspire learners through engaging and supportive teaching.

Gappers play an integral part in the school community, supporting all staff in the care of the boys, through a variety of roles and responsibilities, with no two days being the same.  You will spend time on the games pitches, in the classroom, supervising activities and meals, helping with laundry and boarding duties and will also be involved with the preparation of special events such as school plays, concerts and Sports Day.
