<p style="margin-left:0cm; margin-right:0cm">Ludgrove School is looking for a <strong>Resident School Matron</strong> to join our friendly boarding team. This is a varied and rewarding role at the heart of boarding life, supporting pupils&#39; wellbeing, health and happiness while helping to create a warm, safe and nurturing environment.</p>

<p style="margin-left:0cm; margin-right:0cm">You will build positive relationships with the boys, support their day-to-day care, work closely with our School Nurse and boarding staff, and play an important part in ensuring every pupil thrives both personally and academically.</p>

<p style="margin-left:0cm; margin-right:0cm"><strong>We are looking for someone who:</strong></p>

<p style="margin-left:0cm; margin-right:0cm">* Has experience working with children or young people.</p>

<p style="margin-left:0cm; margin-right:0cm">*&nbsp;Is caring, approachable and enjoys building positive relationships.</p>

<p style="margin-left:0cm; margin-right:0cm">* Has strong organisational and communication skills.</p>

<p style="margin-left:0cm; margin-right:0cm">* Can promote high standards of wellbeing, behaviour and personal presentation.</p>

<p style="margin-left:0cm; margin-right:0cm">* Enjoys working as part of a supportive team.</p>

<p style="margin-left:0cm; margin-right:0cm">* Is willing to contribute to the wider life of a busy boarding school.</p>

<p style="margin-left:0cm; margin-right:0cm">Previous boarding experience, safeguarding training and a First Aid qualification would be advantageous.</p>

</item><item>	<title><![CDATA[ Gap Year Students - Closed for 2027 intake ]]></title>
	<link>https://www.ludgrove.net/news/?pid=2&amp;nid=2&amp;storyid=599</link>	<description><![CDATA[<p>Each year Ludgrove appoints gappers, young people who are taking a year off between school and university, one of which is often an Old Ludgrovian.&nbsp; A mix of boys and girls, they work a 12-month placement beginning in January and all applicants must be 18 years old when they arrive at Ludgrove.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p>Gappers play an integral part in the school community, supporting all staff in the care of the boys, through a variety of roles and responsibilities, with no two days being the same.&nbsp; You will spend time on the games pitches, in the classroom, supervising activities and meals, helping with laundry and boarding duties and will also be involved with the preparation of special events such as school plays, concerts and Sports Day.</p>
