Ludgrove School

Religious Studies

Links in this section

Religious studies is taught throughout the school up to Common Entrance and scholarship.

Ludgrove is a Church of England foundation and the syllabus aims to reflect and support the Christian ethos of the school. However, an unbiased and open approach is taken towards all religions and beliefs.

The school respects the views of followers of all faiths. Boys are given the opportunity to air their own thoughts and encouraged to back it up with reasoned argument. The syllabus has been drawn up to reflect the diverse nature of the subject. In addition to Scripture, our boys learn about the major world religions, are encouraged to debate contemporary and moral issues and study the lives of significant people involved in such issues.
