The School donated a box of new sports shirts to The Banda School, Nairobi, for them to share with the children in the local Ololo Community. The shirts were presented on a community engagement day when 34 children from three different schools visited for a ball skills session followed by rugby matches.

The Ololo team was thrilled with the shirts and wore them proudly for a team photo before taking them home to keep.

Mr Foster, Assistant Head (Co-Curricular) at The Banda School, said: “Huge smiles, fist pumps and hugs were all on display. Ludgrove really has done something special, so thank you! It was just the most lovely moment.”

It has been a pleasure working on this community project with The Banda School. Not only does it strengthen our engagement with these great children but also rekindles our ties with Mr Foster who married Miss Cheater, formerly a VI’s Div Mistress who left Ludgrove in 2019, and is now a Year 3 teacher at the school. We look forward to further supporting their fantastic community engagement.
