Chapel

The private chapel is at the heart of Ludgrove and reflects the importance of the Christian faith and values explored within the school. Each Sunday we hold a service in the Chapel, during which the chapel choir will sing and a visiting preacher will open the Bible with the boys.

Chapel is run in such a way that all present, of whatever faith or of no faith, feel welcome and respected. We have close links with the local Catholic church, which some of our boys attend on Sundays. Special chapel services are held to mark important occasions such as Remembrance Sunday and Harvest Festival and our carol service is held on the last day of the Michaelmas term. Junior and senior chapel services are held weekly and Monday morning assemblies involve boys performing a short musical piece and reading prayers.

“Sound governance has enabled the school to provide a caring and supportive environment, where boys can live as a community whilst acquiring a set of positive values that will remain with them throughout their lives….”
