Lots of boys leapt at the opportunity to scale great heights climbing the chestnut tree on the Top Lawn while others stayed firmly on the ground playing cricket (a legendary Clashes' match), practising 5s, exploring the woods in Camps or getting creative in the workshop.

Whatever they set their minds to, the boys made sure that they had first written and posted the much-loved weekly letter home to their families. However each letter began they are all sure to have ended with: "can't wait to see you next week for half term!"
