Division I to 'Swim the Channel' for Cancer ResearchLinks in this section
After the success of Div I "running 100 miles” last year, on Monday 13th May this year's boys are attempting the massive challenge of swimming the 22 miles, widely accepted as the distance across the EnglishChannel.
This equates to 1,600 lengths of the Ludgrove pool, which will require an average of 130 lengths for each boy.
By common consensus, we have decided to do this in support of Cancer Research UK.
Over the past week, with the help of Mrs Baker, the boys have designed t-shirts, which they will be sporting on Friday ahead of the exeat.
I wanted to warn you all as they will be “rattling” collection buckets, so I apologise in advance if you get accosted by them in the car park. We very much appreciate your support; if, in this cashless society, you'd prefer to donate online, you can do this via JustGiving.
